Giving Cycle 6 Donation Announced!

The latest giving cycle has concluded - after a close vote between 4 excellent organisations, Ear Foundation Australia has been voted our partner for Giving Cycle 6! They will receive a $19,000 donation from our 48 givers.

Note: Ear Foundation Australia has just rebranded from their previous name "Earbus Foundation", which was the organisation on our shortlist/voting form. They are still transitioning to this branding on their socials/website, so we apologise for any confusion along the way!

Who are Ear Foundation Australia?

Ear Foundation Australia was established in 2013 to improve the ear and hearing health of Aboriginal and at-risk children across Western Australia. It delivers culturally safe ear health screening, clinical assessment, treatment and follow-up care through a fleet of purpose-built mobile clinics that travel to schools and community settings across metropolitan, regional and remote WA. In 2025, Earbus screened 4,311 children across 95 regional trips, travelling more than 208,000 kilometres.

What will our donation support?

our $19,000 grant will directly fund 9 to 10 outreach visits across Perth metropolitan and outer suburban schools, early learning centres and community settings, with hopes of reaching up to 500 children. These visits allow Ear Foundation to identify kids with threatened hearing and provide a spectrum of care including nurse-led hearing screens, audiometry assessments, NP/GP consults or external referrals.

Our Advisory Committee shortlisted Ear Foundation Australia after being impressed with the scale of their work, their data-driven approach to preventative health, and the tangible outcomes available with our donation.

You'll be hearing more about the impact of this work over the coming months - our Impact leads Mel and TK will work alongside Ear Foundation Australia explain how these outreach visits are making a tangible difference for at-risk kids across WA.

Congratulations to all the amazing organisations shortlisted in giving cycle 6- Vacseen, Red Dust and OOXii. Giving cycle 7 has already commenced, running July-December 2026, and it promises to see us making our largest donation yet.
